Greens Cook Off

Saturday, February 20, 2021

Food is an important part of communal gatherings. When you hear someone say let me fix you a plate you are hearing love. With the Greens Cook-Off we celebrate that communal moment. We also celebrate past traditions and future innovation. We redefine what southern cooking looks like.

Entry to the Cook-Off is free. We ask for suggested donation of  $5 so that we can celebrate our winners.

How to Participate in The Greens Cook-Off

Entry into the cook-off is free.  Entries are accepted in three categories: Greens of any kind (vegetarian and non-vegetarian)  Mac and Cheese (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) and pound cake.

Each cook has a 6ft table and must supply their own food, display and serving material for 100 patrons. We will provide table covers, serving cups and cutlery. Entrants must submit recipe for judging.

Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
-taste
-look
-smell
-and originality of recipe

We  award a  prize for the Judges and People’s Choice award in all categories!
