We are hosting an experience in the arts of Capoeira and Samba de Roda, with visiting artist Onire Angoleiro do Sertao,. He is from Bahia, Brazil, know as the homeland of these arts.

6pm – Community Drum Circle in the Jefferson School Yard – Free to the public, donations welcomed. The Circle features Samba Reggae and Stick Dancing will be followed by a parade around Downtown.
Participants will learn Afro-Brazilian folkloric rhythms, songs, and dances through fun group experiences; high energy expressive arts in sessions designed to be welcoming to beginners while showcasing the talents in our community.
