The Jefferson School African American Heritage Center’s mission is to honor and preserve the rich heritage and legacy of the African-American community of Charlottesville-Albemarle, Virginia and to promote a greater appreciation for, and understanding of, the contributions of African Americans and peoples of the Diaspora locally, nationally and globally.
JSAAHC is a non-profit 501c3 organization.
There are number of ways you can support our center that do not have to be immediate monetary contributions. If you are interested in contributing to the center, but aren’t sure what the best option is for you, please contact us. Are you looking to contribute to the community through our center? That’s also something we can help with! Contributions can include school scholarships, business grants, and so on.
