The Jefferson School African American Heritage Center’s Charlottesville Players Guild presents a new work by playwright, director Leslie Scott-Johns about a young Black man who wrestles with the decision to get involved in the Movement for Black Lives. Armed with intelligence well beyond his 8th grade education, we follow his journey through the everyday struggle of being Black in America.

Leslie Scott Jones is the artistic director for the Charlottesville Players Guild and the Associate Curator of Education and Public Programs.  For more about Jones.
